LinkedInGriffiths named head of Formula E Teams’ Group
Roger Griffiths, team principal of the Andretti Formula E team, has been named as the new head of the Formula E Teams’ (FET) Group.
Griffiths will work alongside Jim Wright (Mahindra) and succeeds Mahindra team principal, Dilbagh Gill.
Griffiths has been director of motorsports development at Andretti Autosport since April 2014, after four years as technical director at Honda Performance Development. He had been at Honda for over 10 years in total.
Gill has stepped aside from the role in order to avoid a conflict of interest while leading the group alongside fellow Mahindra colleague Wright.
Griffiths, who also works on the Technical and Sporting Working Groups along with Renault e.dams’ Jean-Paul Driot, began his career at Ray Mallock before moving to Team Ascari at Aston Martin Lagonda where he was development engineer.
