Bernoulli
The new look Bernoulli, which has now expanded its brief to include vehicle dynamics, is packed with articles that take an in-depth look across a variety of topics. This includes an analysis of the front wing used in Formula One to Toyota's state-of-the-art facilities in Cologne that are now available for hire. It was only a short while ago that they were being used exclusively by the Toyota F1 team. NASCAR and the effect of the Car of Tomorrow on the aerodynamicist is also examined as is the role of the stylist. Do they really have a place in the performance car world?
What will be of huge appeal to many with long memories is renowned author Karl Ludvigsen's study of Colin Chapman of Lotus fame and his designs in the early years of the rear-engined Formula One car. When it came to thinking out of the box, the Lotus boss was always in the vanguard.
Finally, with Bernoulli also looking at vehicle dynamics and so broadening the appeal to suspension and steering engineers, the next issue contains an in-depth article of damping technology and the effect it has on a car's aerodynamics.
