RACE TECH SYMPOSIUM 2006

Race Tech and Bernoulli’s third World Motorsport Symposium in Oxford proved to be yet another major success with efficiency being the topic of the Racing Engine Day while the Aerodynamics/Vehicle handling Day covered a variety of topics from Formula One to NASCAR, wind tunnels to CFD.

Chairmen for the respective days were Audi Sport’s Ulrich Baretzky and Ferrari’s John IIey.

Another of the highlights of the WMS 07 was the Awards dinner which was held at the magnificent Rhodes House in Oxford and was attended by senior motorsport engineers and executives from around the world. Last year NASCAR walked away as the big winners on the night as its participants scooped up two of the three awards. It was left to UK transmissions company Xtrac to restore some pride for Europe as it won the most innovative new motorsport product for its pioneering work developing a state-of-the-art gearbox for race teams competing in the World Touring Car Championships and other touring car championships.

The next World Motorsport Symposium will take place on Thurs 20th & Fri 21st Nov 08.
