Mygale returns to Formula 3

13 March 2018

Five years after winning their last F3 championship title in Italy with Ricardo Agostini and JD Motorsport, Mygale is set to return to return to Formula 3.

In the intermediate category of the single-seater pyramid, the FIA have created a new Formula 3 Championship starting in 2019. It will be distinguished by an international series and regional series with a more accessible car, the Regional Formula 3 single seater.

The design office at Mygale with its partner AERH, finalised the aerodynamic studies for the future Mygale Regional Formula 3.

Regional Formula 3 is largely inspired by the new Formula 1 regulations with a wider, longer and lower car. The monocoque, designed in partnership with Mygale’s partner, HP Composite, meets the new requirements of the FIA with the addition of a HALO.

The new F3R Mygale, which will be manufactured at Magny-Cours, will be equipped with a turbo engine developed by its partner ORECA respecting the FIA power-output target of 270 hp.
