Back to the future for Historic Racing
Historic Racing & Technology will be hosting an impressive line-up of experts at this year’s Autosport International (ASI) Connect, which will discuss the ‘Future of Historic Racing’.
ASI Connect’s Virtual show will take place on 10-11 March 2021.
The ‘Future of Historic Racing’ panel will be moderated by Kimberley Media Group’s Managing Director, Adrian Goodsell. He will be joined by SCE’s Managing Director, Steve Sapsford, Nicholson McLaren’s Director, John Waghorn, Dr Mark Busfield, Director at National Centre for Motorsport Engineering at University of Bolton and Historic Racing Association’s Co-Founder, Brian Sims.
The virtual panel will take place on Wednesday March 10 at 3.30 pm. The panel will discuss education and training opportunities for the next generation. It will also consider the role that sustainable fuels can play in ensuring that historic racing and the internal combustion engine (ICE) can have a bright future. The panel will also focus on the public image of the sport and look at how the launch of the Historic Racing Association will play an important role in historic racing’s continued success.
Goodsell said: “I will be talking to leading panel of experts who are best placed to look at historic racing’s future. We will be discussing the next generation who are seeking entertainment and sustainability from a sport. Motorsport has always been at the cutting edge of technology and we will be looking at whether historic racing is the perfect platform to bring those things together.”
