For the past three decades, Multimatic Motorsports has applied its performance engineering and racing acumen to operate successful race programmes all over the world. In recent years, the company was responsible for creating a Le Mans winner with the Ford GT, and also operating the GT’s FIA World Endurance Championship campaign for Ford. Multimatic Motorsports was the engineering and operational team behind the success of Mazda’s DPi programme, which closed out with a historic endurance win at Petit Le Mans in 2021. Looking forward, the company is engineering, building and campaigning a new Ford Mustang GT3 race car to take the blue oval into the new generation of GT racing. Multimatic Motorsports has a long history with the Ford Motor Company that goes back four decades. The company has developed and raced five generations of production-based Mustangs.
When the new LMDh sportscar racing category was announced, Multimatic was selected as one of the four franchised “spine”(chassis) manufacturers and chosen by Porsche to engineer and build the spine of the Porsche 963. As the customer programme for the Porsche 963 develops in both the IMSA WeatherTechSportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship, Multimatic will continue to provide support by way of parts supply, chassis support and performance engineering.
Multimatic Motorsports offers an extensive range of products and services to its customers, including race car engineering and development, vehicle dynamics, vehicle fabrication, complete race team operations, and its eponymous spool valve racing dampers.
Multimatic DSSV dampers can be found on a wide range of racing vehicles including F1, prototypes and off-road trucks. Multimatic spool valve dampers have contributed to multiple Formula 1 World Championship victories.
These products have also experienced tremendous success for customers in GT racing, delivering precise, predictable, and consistent control. In one season, every major GTLM/GTE Pro endurance win was on Multimatic DSSV. Ferrari’s GT programme is an exemplary model of success, utilising Multimatic DSSV in the last four generations of GT cars.
Multimatic is in the business of winning in all forms of racing, from Formula Student, through sportscars and off-road racing to Formula 1.
