Evolution Measurement launches evolutionary Pressure Scanner

28 May 2019

Evolution Measurement, the company behind the revolutionary range of highly-miniature pressure scanners, has launched the P8D, newest addition to its EvoScann P-Series range.

The P8D, is one of the smallest and lightest pressure scanners available. Its eight-channels, measure true differential pressure when connected to the static line, giving greater accuracy and comparison to reference points, leading to improved measurement performance.

Maintaining the unique, compact dimensions for which EvoScann is recognised, the P8D is set to improve the accuracy and resolution in aerodynamic testing of a wide range of items from wind turbine blades, to aircraft wings to Formula One cars. The lightweight carbon fibre external construction and integral microprocessor deliver high accuracy output directly in engineering units, producing data that can truly make a difference to the performance of the test subject.

Evolution Measurement, Managing Director, Paul Crowhurst said:  “In consultation with many customers in the motorsport world, we found the need for a true differential version of the P-Series. Some customers prefer to utilise a static line and the P8D enables them to benefit from the small footprint, gathering valuable data from previously unreachable areas.”

EvoScann P-Series is designed to allow quick and easy customisation of the product to suit a wide range of applications and now available in both Absolute and True Differential models, the range can support many applications. This allows users to have the product adapted to suit their most challenging applications, taking such measurements into places never before possible.
