Chell Instruments expand advanced pressure scanner range with new 16-channel 2416 model

World-leaders in gas measurement and control solutions, Chell Instruments, have launched the 2416 industrial pressure scanner which provides 16 points of measurement for high accuracy and unparalleled performance.

As an expansion on their innovative product range, Chell Instruments will be providing a 16-channel 2416 pressure scanner in addition to the standard 32-channel 2432 to give users even more options when measuring pressure.

“As our products are used across various specialist industries, testing variables and demands can differ. Due to this, we’re always striving to develop our instrumentation options to suit more test applications in any challenging environment” says Jamie Shanahan, Director of Chell Instruments.

The device employs digital absolute transducers and two 24-bit ADC’s per channel – one each for pressure and temperature – to provide highly accurate data quality and almost entirely compensate for thermal effects.

“Our 16-channel scanner boasts a data quality of up to 0.02% of full-scale over the full temperature range, allowing our clients to drive data driven decisions from the precise test results they receive – all with little chance of erroneous data” adds Jamie.

The new 2416 is also easier to use with Chell Instruments’ new advanced 3-position electric shuttle valve for purge and re-zero. This combined with internal measurements and control of the purge gas makes for a more complete product and reduces the complexity if installation.

With developments made in the device’s performance, the 2416 has been manufactured to have an increased output speed of up to 1kHz per channel over Ethernet with the Chell protocol, Netscanner protocol, Modbus, iDDS and IENA.

The new 2416 pressure scanner additionally utilises technology from their microDAQ and nanoDAQ range, such as quick disconnect measurement couplings, embedded web server, IEEE 1588 PTPv2 time stamping and power-over-ethernet.
