SMACBUMP by SMAC is a bumpstop (or bumprubber) product range used in many disciplines by the top teams on Formula1, Formula2, LMP1, LMP2, LMP3, Indycar, DTM, Super GT, Super Formula, Blancpain Series, GT3, GT4 and on V8 Supercars.
Its SMACBUMP bump rubbers provide unsurpassed performance by allowing the use of softer springs and by reducing the “Free Play” for a better car control. They are used on the third element if it exists and/or on conventional dampers.
The use of SMACBUMP allows a very progressive stiffness curve with a smooth “Wall effect” at the end of the travel.
Two materials are available: SMACTANE® material with high damping with slow dimension recovery on temperature range up to 120°C and SMACSTIC® material with high elasticity and no noticeable damping on a temperature range up to 100°C.
