Red Bull Racing has released a behind the scenes video of its Milton Keynes factory revealing interesting caveats including Adrian Newey’s drawing board.
The video has been released as a sneak preview for 2017. Despite no obvious 2017 Red Bull car parts appearing in view, it is worth a watch for the chance to have a rare glimpse of a working Formula 1 factory.
Some notable eye catching moments include carbon fibre ply being laser cut, the soldering of a steering wheel PCB, a brief cross sectional glimpse of a wheel and hub CAD assembly, an upright being machined in a DMG Mori CNC machine, a cassette of gears from an eight speed gearbox and FEA of a bell housing and rear crash structure.
