Alfa Romeo Racing has promoted Head of Aerodynamics, Jan Monchaux, to Technical Director as Simone Resta leaves after one year in the job.

Monchaux will start from August 1 and will follow Resta’s departure at the end of this month. Resta is understood to be re-joining his ex-employer, Ferrari which he left a year ago.

Monchaux, a 41 year-old French national, has worked in motorsport for over 10 years.
