Integral Powertrain partners with Penske for Formula E

Integral Powertrain (IP), manufacturers of record-breaking electric motors and inverters, has entered into a technical partnership with manufacturer Penske Autosport for season 6 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Integral Powertrain’s e-Drive divisions have worked with Penske Autosport, which supplies powertrains for the Geox Dragon Formula E Team, on its PENSKE EV-4 car.

IP will  now be tasked with supporting the development of the Team’s custom high-performance electric powertrain of its PENSKE EV-4 car. The car is a high-power, light-weight, highly efficient electric propulsion system.

“Nicolas Mauduit, Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at Penske Autosport, commented: “As an independent manufacturer, we work with IP in order to develop the best components for our race cars. We are very pleased with the results of the work performed in collaboration with Integral Powertrain on our PENSKE EV-4 electric propulsion system.”

This partnership allows the Penske Autosport to harness the best from Integral Powertrain’s world-leading electric propulsion technology. Our Season 6 partnership with Penske Autosport will give us a technical platform to continuously develop our high end, high-efficiency drive systems in the future. ”
