RACE TECH to host Business Forum at Autosport International
RACE TECH is to host a panel on Composite Technology in Motorsport
at this year’s Autosport Business Forum, taking place at Autosport International on Thursday 9th January at 2pm.
The 2020 Autosport International show will feature a brand-new arena, the Autosport Business Forum, for networking and inspiring debate.
The 2pm session, hosted by RACE TECH’s Managing Director, Adrian Goodsell, will include panellists, BComp’s, Chief Executive, Christian Fischer, Lentus Composites, Chief Executive, Mike Dewhirst and Toray Advanced Composites, Business Development Manager, Graham Roberts, who will be discussing the development of composite technologies in Motorsport.
The development of composite technologies is one of the innovations that have transformed Formula One. This transformed manufacturing processes, efficiency and safety after the successful introduction of carbon-fibre chassis into Formula One by McLaren in 1981 providing multiple applications across a range of industries as a result of being proven in racing.
The innovations in composite manufacturing may rival traditional metal-based manufacturing, but another immersive session at the forum will highlight how incremental sheet forming (ISF) can put metal back at the forefront of low-volume manufacturing.
To celebrate 70 years of Formula One, the forum of industry thought leaders will discuss how the last seven decades of technological advances pushed the motorsport industry to become a global leader in innovation. The forum will ask how the drive to win through speed, safety and efficiency will shape the future of motorsport.
RACE TECH will also be exhibiting at Autosport International 2020. Stand Number E401.
