Bcomp partners with Porsche customer racing team Four Motors

Bcomp is proud to announce its collaboration with German Porsche customer racing team Four Motors, participating in the VLN series and the 24h at Nürburgring.

Four Motors were the first motorsport team in Germany that specialised in sustainability and constantly test new technologies, from re-refined engine oil and E20 fuel to lightweight natural fibre bodywork – and are highly successful in doing so. The main goal is to support the development of technologies that reduce the CO2 footprint and that can be applied in road cars as well, thus significantly impacting the CO2 footprint of mobility.

Therefore, Four Motors is highly committed in working intensively with its partners to develop and test new innovative technologies for a sustainable mobility,” explained Thomas von Löwis, CEO of Four Motors.

He continued: “Like Four Motors, Bcomp is a pioneer in the field of sustainable motorsport – and the goal is to be competitive with those technologies. We not only share the Bcomp philosophy, but we also benefit from their know-how of the natural fibre materials and their engineering skills. Also, on the race track the bio lightweight components have proven to be exceptional and as good as lightweight parts from carbon fibre. The difference is: lightweight parts from natural fibres save some 75% CO2 compared to the same parts made from carbon fibre.”
