CRP Group

Founded in 1970 by Roberto Cevolini as a company for high precision CNC machining in the motorsports sector, the CRP Group has been amongst the first to import Additive Manufacturing technology to Europe and Italy and develop Windform® family of materials.

CRP Group has more than 45 years of experience in the world of Formula 1 and more than 20 years of experience in mdditive Manufacturing.

The Group, headquartered in Modena, Italy, is comprised of specialised companies dedicated to providing the latest technology and solutions to their customers: CRP Meccanica, CRP Service, CRP Technology, CRP USA and Energica.

CRP is distinguished by its know-how in specific application fields such as the development, production and sales of its Windform® family of high-performance composite materials, the production of end-use components and functional prototypes with Laser Sintering technology, and a wide range of services and processes as Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), Electron Beam Melting (EBM), High-precision CNC Machining, Rapid Casting.

Thanks to a strong emphasis on customization, high-end technologies, broad range of applications and customer service, the CRP Group maintains a strong relationship with companies and entrepreneurs in motorsports, automotive, design, aerospace, space, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), marine, entertainment.

Its Formula 1 background has been precursor for the development of the first electric racebike, the eCRP, from which the company started the electric programme. It recently has given rise to the Energica Motor Company, the sustainable subsidiary of the CRP Group and the first Italian manufacturer of supersport electric motorcycles. Energica benefits in countless and immeasurable ways from the close relationship and consultation with parent company CRP Group that keeps Energica at the forefront of state-of-the-art technology and ready for future technology innovation.

CRP Meccanica provides high-precision CNC machining for industries as motorsport, automotive, aerospace, space and marine. It also offers services to companies that require a high level of customisation and accuracy. The CNC centre at CRP Meccanica maintains the latest CNC technologies and practices in the industry. CRP Technology offers part production for short- and low-run production, and prototyping services with advanced 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions.

As a material provider, CRP Technology develops, manufacturers and sell its proprietary material Windform® for Laser Sintering. Windform materials properties are suitable for applications and industries that require high-performance. This includes motorsportaviation, automotive, design, entertainment and space.

CRP USA thanks to its mother company’s know-how is able to produce precision mechanical parts, for fields that might seem different from each other, but in reality they are closed together by the need of high standards in terms of quality and reliability.
