LinkedInToyota Racing appoints Marelli as a technical partner
Toyota Racing has appointed Marelli as a technical partner of the FIA WEC Hypercar Team as part of a two-year agreement.
The collaboration will focus on advancements in powertrain technology and efficient energy management and will create new possibilities for sharing expertise and developing innovative solutions to drive the evolution of racing cars in upcoming seasons.

Together, we are committed to supporting Toyota Racing’s objectives and delivering impactful results both on the track and in real-world automotive development.”
In addition to the technical partnership, Marelli branding will appear on the vehicles, the team’s garage walls and official website.
Marelli, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier headquartered in Saitama, Japan, recently appointed Frederick “Fritz” Henderson as Interim Chief Executive Officer replacing David Slump, who will remain on the company’s Board of Directors until Marelli completes its Chapter 11 restructuring. Henderson previously served as CEO of General Motors, CEO and Chairman of Suncoke Energy, and non-executive Chairman of Adient.
